2. Our Goals and Plans in 2006 were:

We are planning to organize in October renewal process with new members recruitment (include students, since we have Student Branch). We are planning to have about 77 AP-S Members and 10 Student Members to January 1, 2007.
We are planning several regular seminars every month (exclude July -September). We have two permanent places for seminars: 1) Conference-Hall in IRE RAS (H 11, Mokhovaja str., Moscow) for "Moscow Electromagnetic Seminar"; 2) Room 704 in Russian New University (H 22, Radio str., Moscow) for seminar "Mathematical Modelling of Wave Processes"(Co-chairmans: Dr. A.S. Krjukovsky, Dr. D.S. Lukin ) ; The entrance to seminars is free of charge for all participants.
We will continue to issue Magazine “Antennas” (ISSN 0320-9601) (with 12 issues per year, each issue about 90 pages of AP-Transactions format in Russian and English, with 13-15 full papers). We have 7 our chapter members in editorial board, including the Editor in Chief and Vice-Chief Editor.
We are planning to have tight cooperation with other AP-S Chapters in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
We are planning to hold Moscow Electromagnetic Seminar every month (exclude July and August). Seminar Co-Chairs: Prof. D.Sazonov and Prof. V.Shevchenko
We are planning to nominate our 3 – 4 Members for Senior Member grade.
We are planning to update regularly our WEB-Page http://ieee.orbita.ru/aps/

3. The workshops, symposia, educational programs, etc.

Our Chapter take active part in organization of some Conferences and Workshops.

1	Moscow Student Conference (REEPE-2006) with the best student paper contest. Moscow IEEE AP-S Chapter was organizer of Session "Antennas and Propagation" and financial sponsor of the best student paper contest. Place – Antenna Department MPEI-TU. Chair – Prof. V. Permjakov. Date: March 2, 2006. It was 7 Students Papers. Abstracts were published in Conference Proceedings. Attendance on antenna session: 29 (7M+ 22 S). Attendance on Conference ~ 650 (M_25, O_25, S_600). About 1000 Paper abstract were included in Conference Proceedings (three volumes)
2	VI Annual Conference of Institute for Theoretical and Applied Electromagnetism of RAS (ITAE OIVT RAS, Moscow, Russia). It was presented 22 papers in oral form. Chair - Academician A. Lagarkov, secretary - Dr. A. Kunavin. Moscow APS Chapter was real co-organizer and technical Co-Sponsor of this Conference. Conference WEB-page at http://ieee.orbita.ru/aps/ was maintained by Moscow APS Chapter. Dates: April 17 – 19, 2006. Attendance on Conference: ~50 (M_12, O_38).



3	16th International Crimean Microwave Conference "Microwave & Telecommunication Technology" (CriMiCo'2006) in Sevastopol, Ukraine. Moscow IEEE APS Chapter was financial and technical co-sponsor and main organizer "Antennas and Antenna Elements" session. It was 38 presentations (include 4 invited papers) on Antenna Session. Chairman - Prof. A.N. Bratchikov (Moscow APS Chapter). Conference WEB site at http://ieee.orbita.ru/aps/ was maintained by Moscow APS Chapter. Dates – September 11-15, 2006. Attendance on conference: ~500 (M_ 50 + O_ 450).
4	Session "Applied Electrodynamics and Real-Time Systems" on Annual Student Conference at Moscow University of Physics and Technology at Dolgoprudny (near Moscow). Moscow IEEE APS Chapter was coorganizer of this session. It was 6 oral presentations from post-graduate and under-graduate students. Date: November 24, 2006.

4, DESCRIPTION OF OTHER ACTIVITIES

·         We organized in October-November 2006 collegial renewal process. 8 low income members got support from APS through MFSP Program.

·         Our "Best Practices": There is wide spectrum of various aspects. Each month we have some technical meetings with high quality lectures. All meetings have announcements in WEB and via e-mail. We are actively working with MPEI-TU student branch and give financial support to student papers contest. Leading chapter members actively participate in preparing of some domestic and international conferences in 2006. We are in tight cooperation with IEEE officers in LEOS, in RAD, in 8 Region and in Russia Section. Especially tight cooperation exists between our chapter and Moscow IEEE APS chapter.

Our Home Page is located at http://ieee.orbita.ru/aps . We update our WEB-page two/three times each month. You may see on our WEB-page all Annual Chapter Reports 1996 - 2006, announcements and programs of our conferences and every-month seminars.

Past all meetings of the Moscow LEOS Chapter were reported to IEEE as electronic L-31 forms.
